Iran, Kermanshah 2017-2018: On late night of Sunday November 12th 2017 a 7.3 magnitude earthquake strikes near border between Iran and Iraq.

The epicenter was in Sarpol-e Zahab, in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah.

The earthquake shakes the Middle East as far as Israel and Turkey, but the worst of the devastation was borne in western Iran:

here, around 530 people had been killed and almost 7000 injured. It is the deadliest of the year and the worst in Iran since 2005.

Today, after more then two months from the earthquake, many buildings are still destroyed and people live in huge tent camps near the streets.

These pictures show how background is changing among destruction and reconstruction and how the people feel.
